- Description
- REVISED SCOPE OF WORK: The VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, Kentucky has a requirement for Contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and expertise required to perform all work necessary for Project 596A4-09-103, Replace AHU 5, 6 & 7 in accordance with specifications and drawings. The work includes general construction, renovation, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. This project will replace the existing air handlers 5, 6 & 7 in Building 1, Cooper Drive division with new air handlers to meet VA's air flow guidelines, revised duct risers to handle the increased air flow. This project will correct deficiencies identified in the mechanical, ducts and air distribution within the building. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to the construction project is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. This procurement is 100% set aside to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. To be eligible for award, he SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following website: www.vipvetbiz.gov; www.ccr.gov; www.orca.bpn.gov; and www.vets100.vet.dol.gov. The estimated cost range for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be posted o/a July 27, 2010 on FedBizOpps website; www.fbo.gov. Pre-bid conference will be conducted on August 16, 2010. Bid opening will be held on August 31, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
