Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NGA intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334112 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) requires 4 NFS Software T5C License Agreements (Part # SW-T5C-NFS), 4 NetApp Software Subscription Plans for 12 months, Part # CS-N-SSP. The period of performance for software maintenance is set to begin on 16 Aug 2010 through 15 Aug 2011. The proprietary NetApp software allows the NetApp Fabric-Attached Storage Device FAS-3170 to communicate with NGA DoDIIS Trusted Workstation Suite windows virtual machines using the Network File System (NFS) protocol. This NetApp NFS software is installed on the NGA DTW infrastructure and is integral to the system. The NFS licenses provide user logon, audit trail and backup, and recovery for the DTW system. The purchase of the NetApp Filer is critical to provide the storage necessary to make digital information available to all of NGA's authenticated internal and external customers. Since NetApp software programs are already integrated into the NGA system, only NetApp software meets the form, fit, and function requirements of NGA at this time. Another brand of software would not allow NGA to seamlessly interact with and support our many partners. The statutory authority for this acquisition is Section 4202 of the Clinger Cohen Act of 1996 and FAR 6.3. Delivery is FOB Destination. Delivery will be made to: NGA - Attn: Clinton Propst, Mail Stop: J-34, 3838 Vogel Road, Arnold, MO 63010. Offers are due to the following email address no later than 6:00 P.M. CST, 06 August 2010. All of the products referenced in this posting are proprietary products of NetApp. Questions regarding this posting should be directed to Contract Specialist, Marquita Jones, at Marquita.C.Jones@nga.mil. Only authorized resellers of NetApp software and maintenance may respond to this posting.
