- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a single award for the rental and service agreement of a Phacoemulsifier machine and supplies to be used during cataract eye surgeries for inmates in coordination with the Government provided Opthalmologist. All services will be performed at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, MO 65807. The anticipated performance period will begin on October 1, 2010, and will conclude on September 30, 2011. The contractor awarded this contract will supply assistance with the routine operation of the Phaco machine, prepare proper documentation for such services, work in collaboration with correctional services and health personnel and participate in coordination of those services with the office of the ophthalmologist. The estimated schedule shall be one day with an estimated four (4) cases each month during the performance period. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside, FOB destination, firm-fixed price contract. The Government will award to the responsible contractor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about August 17, 2010, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is on or about August 31, 2010. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Per FAR 52.212-3, each offeror may complete their representations and certifications via the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov. If an offeror has not completed the annual representation and certifications online, then the offeror shall submit a hard-copy with their quotation. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts.
