Description
SPM7M210-R-0109. Proposed procurement is for NSN 2040-00-807-4197. Item description is FENDER MARINE, SIZE 24 X 36 INCH FIRST ARTICLE/PREPRODUCTION APPROVAL.CONTRACTOR TESTING OF ONE SAMPLE IS EQUIRED. EXCEPTIONS TO THE SPECIFICATION:PARAGRAPH 4.6.5 - THE COMPRESSED ROLL TEST IS NO LONGER REQUIRED I/A/W DRAWING NR 03950 2040008074197 BASIC AMEND NR 3 DTD 02/18/87. ORIGIN INSPECTION REQUIRED. Contract type is firm-fixed price for a total quantity of 900, 325 each are to be shipped to Tracy CA 95304-5000 and 575 each are to be shipped to New Cumberland PA. Required delivery is 225 days, which includes 60 days for delivery of first article and testing reports, 45 days for government review of testing, and 120 days for delivery of the production quantity. The solicitation will require FOB Destination, inspection and acceptance at origin. A 100% option is included, which may or may not be exercised. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. The drawings/specifications will be available through the DIBBS solicitation link in the synopsis on the solicitation issue date. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in this solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identity to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. NOTICE TO ALL CONTRACTORS: In a final rule contained in the Federal Acquisition Circular 01-26 (Item 1, FAR Case 2002-24) published in the Federal Register on December 20, 2004, the Federal Acquisition Regulation was amended to require offerors to submit representations and certifications electronically via the Business Partner Network. Offerors are encouraged to complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. This solicitation will be made available on it’s issue date of 30 August 2010, at HTTPS://WWW.DIBBS.BSM.DLA.MIL/. PLEASE NOTE: THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE ISSUE DATE.
