- Summary- 1. Excavate to expose the existing isolation valve, underground piping, and new location of isolation valve and post indicator. 2. Remove existing isolation valve and install new pipe in place of valve. 3. Furnish and install one (1) addressable Post Indicator Valve (PIV) at least 40 feet away from building wall in accordance with NFPA 13. 4. Trench for electrical conduit from PIV to the exterior of the building. 5. Core drill concrete foundation for electrical conduit. 6. Furnish and install PVC electrical conduit from the PIV, through the foundation penetration. Seal foundation penetration water tight after conduit installation is complete. 7. Furnish and install required EMT conduit and electrical conductor to tie PIV to existing fire alarm system. 8. Furnish all required, junction boxes; pull boxes, switches, Siemens MXL alarm panel cards etc. as required to tie-in the new PIV into the existing alarm system. 9. Furnish all required fire panel programming necessary to integrate the new PIV with the existing fire alarm and fire annunciation systems. 10. Integrate the PIV with the existing MetaSys system through the Siemens panel. 11. Calibrate, commission and certify the new PIV. 12. Backfill trench and area excavated for this installation. 13. Repair/replace sod as required to reclaim the construction site. 14. Repair any damage to the existing irrigation system as a result of this installation. 15. In room B12, expand the FireCycle III detection and suppression systems to include the area below the new ceiling. Installation shall be in compliance with all NFPA codes and shall integrate into the existing fire alarm and suppression systems.
