Description
JOFOC THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY - The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Public Health (UIC/SPH), Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Chicago, IL. The purpose of this project is to provide support for the production of the 2nd edition entitled, "Analytic Methods in Maternal and Child Health." The new workbook shall include the following content areas: 1. Updating and expanding core material on statistical and epidemiologic methods; 2. Updating and expanding material on trend analysis; 3. Updating and expanding examples and exercises using several statistical software packages 4. Adding new content for special topics of interest to and relevant for MCH, such as: a. Regression approaches for nominal and ordinal outcomes b. Mixed effects regression modeling / multilevel modeling c. Quantitative approaches to needs assessment d. Design and analysis for program evaluation e. Analytic issues for small numbers and small areas f. Communicating and translating findings to multiple audiences This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. The period of performance for this project is fourteen (14) months. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1, a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice, which states and supports that UIC/SPH is the only organization that has the data rights to this procure this workbook. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
