Description
Decision to Split Award In accordance with FAR 13.101(b)(1) The decision was made to split the award on Solicitation# AG-6395-S-10-408603 Between Beckman Coulter and Thermofisher Scientific. Both Offerors were notified prior to award of the decision to split the award. The Government has the right to award to the most technically acceptable, responsible offeror whose offer best conforms to the solicitation specifications, and is most advantageous to the government. Price, Technical, Delivery and other factors were considered in this case Each proposal was evaluated based on the factors identified below. Technical Evaluation Factors: 1.) All proposals will be rated by comparing descriptive literature against the salient characteristics. 2.) Delivery/Installation. 3.) Training, According to Suelee Robbe-Austerman, DVM, PhD, Mycobacteria/Brucella Lab at the National Veterinary Services Laboratories in Ames, Iowa. The following items being purchased from the two companies represent the optimum advantage to the government in fulfilling this requirement.
