Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Logistics Service Area has a requirement to Provide Armed Security Guard Services at the NY CENTER located in Ronkonkoma, NY and NY TRACON located in Westbury, NY under Solicitation No. DTFAEN-11-R-NYGRD. Services are to commence on or about October 1, 2010 for an initial Base Year, plus Four (4) One-Year Option Periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), uniforms, transportation and supervision to provide Armed Security Guard Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and ten legal holidays. Company must have at a minimum five (5) years experience in security guard services. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated between $5,000,000.00 and $7,000,000.00 for the entire contract period. THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. This Screening information Request is only being supplied to the following two (2) companies: Protection Strategies Incorporated 2300 9th St. South, Suite 501, Arlington, VA 22204-2387 and Whitestone Group, 4100 Regent St., Suite C, Columbus, OH 43219. No other SIR's will be available. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
