- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR N40192-10-R-9001 SOLID WASTE REMOVAL SERVICES INTRODUCTION THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. A SOLICITATION IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas (NAVFACMAR) is seeking information about potential sources capable of managing the transfer and acceptance of various Department of Defense (DoD) generated solid wastes on Guam. The results of this Sources Sought will be utilized to determine the availability of potential offerors who have the skill and capabilities necessary to perform the described services. Offerors are invited to provide an explanation of their capabilities as provided below. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE.Guam BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION FOR SERVICE CONTRACT NAVFACMAR currently manages a contract for solid waste collection for DoD facilities on Guam with disposal in DoD landfills. The purpose of this sources sought is to evaluate alternatives for the management of DoD generated solid waste on Guam. DoD is looking to expand beyond sites operated by DoD and its components. Disposal services are sought beginning on or about October 2011. Any proposed landfill must be capable of disposing solid waste in quantities not less than is indicated below: PROJECTED - Municipal Waste in tons per year2012 20,9442013 18,4022014 29,4532015 26,5072016 26,5072017 26,5072018 26,5072019 26,996 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Potential Offerors are encouraged to provide capabilities to address integrated solid waste management. Any proposed solid waste management plan must have all required permits and be capable of demonstrating full compliance with all applicable local and international waste disposal regulations and restrictions not later than the projected start date of required disposal services. ELIGIBILITY The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 562212. SUBMISSION DETAILS All responses shall include Company Name, Company Address, Company Business Size (in accordance with FAR Part 19 and the NAICS code 562212), and Points-of-Contact (POC) including name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address. Responses should fully describe the location of any proposed solid waste management site, its capacity, design criteria, operating plans, the status of all required permits, and limitations on the acceptance of any solid wastes. Please also indicate if you are a small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and/or woman-owned small business concern. Please respond to this announcement by 4:30pm (Guam Time) on 2 September 2010, via email to the Contract Specialist Intern, Pamela Evans at pamela.evans@fe.navy.mil and the Procurement Contract Officer Christine Davis at christine.davis@fe.navy.mil. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the participants. The Government intends to issue any solicitation subsequent to this sources sought through https://www.neco.navy.mil.
