Description

Updated Workload Data (Elevator List) Schedule B as of 25 Aug 10 Responses to Questions raised during 23 Aug 10 Site Visit. 1. What are the requirements for CEIs/third party inspectors and what medium is required for documentation? RESPONSE: We understand at this time the State of Alaska does not license certified fitness cards for elevator mechanics. However, the contractor is still required to supply a licensed third party inspector (CEI as required by Paragraph 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 of the PWS). Our intent is to fully comply with industry standards. RESPONSE: Electronic documentation is fine as long as all parties identified continue to receive the communications. 2. Will all 5-year tests be required during the first year of the contract? RESPONSE: All traction 5 year load tests shall be performed the first year of the contract; reference paragraph 1.1.3 of the PWS. 3. Will all systems support Wide Area Work Flow? RESPONSE: All invoices must be submitted using WAWF. Unfortunately "Mac" equipment is not compatible with WAWF. 4. Is the Workload list (elevator spreadsheet) accurate? RESPONSE: The workload list (elevator spreadsheet) has been updated as of 25 Aug 10 and is attached.
