Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division, Newport intends to award a firm-fixed price contract consisting of one base year and four one-year options for the removal and recycling of paper (catalogs, colored paper, computer paper, envelopes, magazines, newspapers, phonebooks, post-it notes, folders and white paper) and beverage containers (aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles) in accordance with the Statement of Work provided in the solicitation. The period of performance is 1 October 2010 “ 30 September 2011, with four one-year options. This acquisition will be processed using FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. This procurement is 100% Set Aside for Small Business. NAICS Code 562111, size standard $12.5 million. Evaluation factors for award will include: price and past performance. Further details will be released upon issue of RFP # N66604-10-R-4469, which is anticipated to be on or about Tuesday, 31 August 2010. Note: A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, 1 September 2010 at 9:30 am. Contractors interested in attending the site visit, must contact the negotiator via email and must follow the instructions in the attached document to submit a visit request to the NUWC Division Security Division.
