Description

The US Naval War College has a requirement to purchase annual maintenance for their Horizon Library System software from SirsiDynix. The period of maintenance will be from 01 October 2010 “ 30 September 2011. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Naval War College, Contracting Division, intends to award a Sole Source/Firm-Fixed price contract to SirsiDynix. Under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c) (1) and pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a) (2), the supplies or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source, or from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. A written Request for Quotation #N00124-11-Q-0018 (Form SF1449) will be issued in 3-5 business days after this Synopsis posting. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the SF1449 from the FedBizOpps or NECO website, or by contacting Ms. Amy Skwira, Contracting Officer, at amy.skwira@usnwc.edu. Even though the intent is to award a sole source contract, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Anticipated award date is 01 October 2010.
