Description
Signed CICA for sole source acquisition I researched FCC ASR Tower registration site and marked the location of six (6) towers found on the FCC site onto a Google map and provided to the Line office for evaluation on December 3, 2009. The Line Office provided a response February 8, 2010, advising the only site that would cover the delineated area was the site they identified in their Tower Space questionnaire due to Orofino's location in a deep river gorge that is hard to broadcast into and line of site needed to receive a relayed signal from Culdesac, Idaho SPECIAL Conditions 1) The Governments antenna center mounting point on the tower must be at a minimum height of 35' above ground level (AGL) located on the Towers West Leg for installation of a 6' Yagi antenna to be pointed toward Culdesac, ID. The second antenna is Omni directional and is to be installed near the top (40') of the second tower located at this site. 2) The Government will require at least 4'X4' of floor space in the Lessor's transmitter building near the base of the tower. 3) The building is to be climate controlled with a temperature range of 32 degrees to 104 degrees. 4) Transmission Line type ½ inch hardline 5) Transmitter - Armstrong G300 - 100 watt 6) The frequency to be used will be 162.4 MHz. 7) Primary Power needed is 120 VAC. a. The Lessor is to provide both commercial and emergency standby power as part of the rental consideration. b. Electrical outlet requirement 120 Vac x 2 and 2 dedicated 20 amp circuit breakers. 8) Access to telephone lines at the transmitter site 9) Road access to the tower. 10) Line of site from NWS Lewiston Transmitter for audio feed with a fade margin of 20 DB.
