Description
Brand Name J&A Solicitation: 4QCP21108205 Agency/Office: Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Location: Assisted Acquisition Services Division (4QFAC) Title: Ft. Bragg Uninterruptible Power Source Refresh (SA2010-06-100) NAICS: 423430 **SEEKING SOURCES ONLY** Please review the items listed on attached Brand Name Justification. If your company can provide the products/services, and you are interested in receiving an RFQ for this requirement, please respond to this sources sought announcement and send an email to bernard.fordham@gsa.gov, and albertine.honore@gsa.gov as a confirmation. It is mandatory that all responding vendors be registered in GSA's IT-Solutions Acquisition System (ITSS). The website is http://it-solutions.gsa.gov/. The HelpDesk # is 1-877-243-2889. The network at Womack Army Health Center, Ft Bragg, NC, uses American Power Company (APC) uninterruptible power sources (UPS's) at the computer and communication room wiring closets to provide instantaneous or near-instantaneous emergency power and/or surge protection to a load when the Military Treatment Facilities (MTF's) main utility power circuit fails. The existing APC UPS's have reached end-of-refresh life within the computer and communication room wiring closets. To ensure optimal performance at the hospital, the current APC UPS devices that have reached the end-of- refresh life must be replaced with new APC Smart-UPS 2200VA XL capable of providing surge protection, reduce brownout effects and a temporary course of backup power until the MTF's main utility power circuits are back online. The installation of non-APC UPS's with dissimilar circuitry specifications and capabilities increases the risk of power outages and failures due to differences in the way that each vendor implemented the IEEE standards for power protection. The use of APC Smart-UPS 2200VA XL is essential to USAMITC requirements. The equipment list to support this is in the Brand Name Justification document.
