- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued as Request for Proposal (RFP) N1590100115. Offers are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions enclosed within this RFP are those in effect through Federal Acquisition (FAC) 2005-44 and are available in full text through Internet access at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This solicitation is full and open competition using Brand Name or Equal product. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, and women owned business enterprises. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 441110 and the small business size standard is $29M. OFFERS ARE DUE for this combined synopsis/solicitation on SEPTEMBER 20th, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. MDT and shall be delivered by the specified time to Zion National Park Service, Hwy 9, Springdale, UT 84767; ATTN: Mary Dillon. Faxed quotes/offers are preferred with all required documentation provided, no oral quotations will be accepted. Reference solicitation N1590100115. Offerors must furnish the company name, DUNS number, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address if available, and official point of contact. All Offers must be signed by authorized company official and faxed to Contracting Officer (435) 772-3337 or emailed to mary_dillon@nps.gov. The Government anticipates making a single award for this solicitation. All offers will be considered, however; to be considered for award, vendor must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov and we request that you put the Reps and Certs information online at the ORCA website, https://orca.bpn.gov/. CLIN 0001 - Kenworth T3 Series Conventional Truck, Brand Name or equal with a 2000 gallon stainless tank and potable PTO driven water pump, plus engine Jake Brake. Truck specifications are designed to match the requirement for mountainous delivery requirements. No substitutions. Truck to be used as a potable water truck. Require 2000 gallon tank to be stainless steel with baffles inside. Potable water only. Food grade, PTO driven pump, stainless tank plumbing. To pump 80 to 120 GPM @ 20 foot head. 2" Valved pump outlet on left side between cab and axle. 3/4" hose bib outlets, 1 on each corner (lower) and on backside of tank; total of 4 (2 on left side, and 2 on right side) Manway to be at rear of Tank, with Ladder and Hand Holds on bars to tank lid or manway. Lock hasp on tank lid, stainless steel (tank access). Tank to have overflow built into truck. Require side tool box behind cab on right side of truck, 30" wide 18" deep and 18" high. Generic specs for truck: 1 potable Water Truck, 33,000 GVWR with a 2,000 gallon stainless tank. Diesel, automatic transmission, 4 X 2. Usage - Truck to be used in 50 mile round trip, elevations vehicle to be driven in - 4,000 feet to over 7,000 feet. Grades of up to 16%.
