Department of Veterans Affairs - Office of Acquisitions and Logistics Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) - Chicago National Forum This is not a solicitation. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government. Background Information for the Event: The Department of Veterans Affairs recognizes that there is an ever changing dynamic for Veterans in the 21st century. We have made grave movements to improve upon our myriad of missions in a resourceful manner and are keen on further developing these improvements. Delivering the right services at the right time to this growing and ever changing population of Veterans will require: cutting-edge information technology, innovative and improved acquisition processes, a far-reaching transformation of the VA workforce, and end-to-end innovations in management. The VA has embarked on a transformation of the end-to-end acquisition process that has capitalized on the Supplier Relationship Transformation (SRT) industry expertise as an effort to improve our acquisition process as a whole. While enhancing the SRT relationship at the three regional forums (DC, NJ and CA) in 2009 and 2010 we realized it would be beneficial to host a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) national forum to address issues specific to FSS holders. VA realizes that our schedule holder community is a critical component to our success in meeting the challenges of sustaining modern day Veterans. VA would like to hear from you, the schedule holders! VA will hold a national Federal Supply Schedule Supplier Relationship Forum in Chicago, IL on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 and Thursday, October 21, 2010 to gain feedback about being part of the FSS, how the VA National Acquisition Center's (NAC) realignment has impacted you and suggestions on improving the acquisition lifecycle. Please attend on ONE DAY ONLY. We are hosting the second day of FSS Forum to hear from more FSS holders. II. Objectives of the Event: "Continue the effective process of gathering feedback on the VA acquisition lifecycle that started at the August 2009 SRT Forum in Washington, DC & continued on at the August 2010 SRT Forum in New Jersey & California "Gain facilitated feedback on topics pertaining to NAC realignment, acquisition, award/delivery, and closeout/performance reviews ?
