Description
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is requesting information andpotential sources for open innovation capabilities. The Request for Information (RFI)does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that NASA will take furtheraction regarding this matter. Neither NASA nor the Government will be responsible for anycost incurred in furnishing the information requested in this RFI. No solicitationexists at this time; therefore please do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released in the future it will be synopsized on FedBizOpps and the NASAAcquisition Internet Service. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitorthese sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. NASA/JSC is hereby soliciting information regarding an Open Innovation Services andassociated providers that can support external and/or internal innovation platform needs. The open innovation provider(s) will act as an intermediary between NASA and therespective solver community. The open innovation provider(s) will supply an appropriateplatform and full life cycle support function from the challenge/need development throughthe vetting of solutions back to NASA.NASA is requesting information from industry oncompany platforms, techniques and services to accomplishing the full cycle support fromchallenge/need development through closure. In the response to this request, companiesshould address process training for the challenge/need development, review and vetting,and maintenance through closure. Include in the response your approach to transferringintellectual property rights. Also address IT security and compliance with section 508 ofthe Americans with Disabilities Act. In addition to the information requested above youare asked to provide examples of: (a) 3 examples of successful utilizations of yourplatform; (b) 3 examples of unsuccessful utilizations of your platform; (c) list ofplatform support for government entities; and (d) background on solution providers,description and number of solution providers within the network, and community approach. In addition to the above capability information above, please provide the following:-Name and address of firm-Size of Business-Average annual revenues for the past 3 years-Number of employees-Ownership-Number of years in business
