- Description
- QUESTION: Per the above mentioned solicitation regarding the Polycom MGC Bridge. According to Polycom, this unit is obsolete and some of the cards are not supported by the manufacture anymore. I request to speak to a technical representative or POC at the LeMay Center to ascertain the viability of the OFE. ANSWER: We understand that some of the cards are not longer supported. Mr. Chambers spoke with Polycom and they said that we could use some of the parts and other ones will have to be provided by the winning vendor to make the system work. We are expecting to see a list of materials and associated cost for this option to work Par: 3.4.5.3 Install and upgrade GFE Polycom MGC-100, MG323 Card, IP 24 Card, A+24/48 Card, A+12/24 Card, 2 Power supplies, twenty-two (22) Via Video II part# 200-20050-001, VSX 8000, and Video Conferencing Camera APTZ-2N 3.4.5.4 Provide five (5) additional Via Video II part# 200-20050-001 QUESTIONS: 1. The solicitation states in 7.4.2 that "the contractor is required to provide FULL ENGINEERING PLANS AND PROPOSED DRAWINGS at time of bid". Please clarify what is to be provided. Do you require a list of proposed drawings or do you require the drawings themselves? 2. In the CLIN structure 0002 in the installation "for the items described in CLIN 0001 and any options identified in Attachment 4". Is this to be a single number? Or numbers for each option separately? ANSWERS: 1. Complete drawings are required, not a list of drawings. This includes rack elevations and equipment placement, as well as signal flow with mode/type of cable depicted for all equipment to be installed. This is the new standard for A/V installations due to the complexity of the scope of work to be accomplished. 2. For the CLINs: the vendors will provide numbers for each option separately.
