Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICIATATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health, Clinical Pharmacokinetics Research Lab (CPRL) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) 253(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 a contract for system support services for the Rapid Trace Separations Modules with Biotage. The CPRL participates and collaborates in the design and analysis of clinical studies with various NIH institutes. The CPRL develops and validates bioanalytical assays for the testing of human samples and determination of drug levels for subsequent pharmacokinetic analysis. The Biotage service contract will provide parts and service coverage for the eleven (11) Rapid Trace Solid Phase Extraction Modules. The separation modules are used to process and extract samples from ongoing research studies being conducted in collaboration with NAID, NIDDK, NCI and NICHD. Maintenance and repair of all instruments systems is essential in avoiding prolonged interruption of sample analysis, and consequently delaying completion of clinical studies. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the threshold is 500 employees. The anticipated period of performance will be for September 30, 2010 through September 29, 2011, with four (4) option periods of 12 months each. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however all responses received within 15 days from the date of the publication of this Notice of Intent will be considered by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability in writing to Mr. Brian Lind at the address stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. There is no solicitation package available. For any questions regarding this announcement please contact Mr. Brian Lind at LindBJ@cc.nih.gov.
