- The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for USCGC TAHOMA DOCKSIDE (WMEC-908) 210 FOOT B CLASS MEDIUM ENDURANCE CUTTER. The vessel is homeported at City Portsmouth, ME 09804. All work will be performed at the vessels home pier. The performance period will be FIFTY-SEVEN (57) calendar days with a start date on or about 10 January 2011 through 02 March 2011. The cost of this project will estimate between $1,000,000 and $500,000. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC USCGC TAHOMA DOCKSIDE (WMEC-908) 210 FOOT B CLASS MEDIUM ENDURANCE CUTTER. This work will include, but is not limited to: 1. Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Clean 2. Grey Water Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect 3. Grey Water Piping, Clean and Flush 4. Sewage Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect 5. Sewage Piping, Clean and Flush 6. Sewage Piping, Renew 7. Structural Bulkhead - Plating (Steel), Renew 8. Watertight Doors and Scuttles (External), Renew 9. Weather Door (CIC), Renew 10. Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks, Clean and Inspect 11. Hot Water Accumulator Tanks, Clean and Inspect 12. Tanks (Dirty Oil and Waste), Preserve "Partial" 13. Commissary Hoist Assembly, Perform Maintenance 14. Articulating Crane, Hydraulic, Perform Level 2 Maintenance 15. Warping Capstan, Perform Maintenance 16. Ventilation Ducting, Engine Room, Renew 17. Ventilation Ducting, Bosun Workshop, Inspect 18. Fan Housings, Preserve All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. At least two (2) references are requested, but more are desirable. Your response is required by 27 September 2010. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside or Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the FedBizOps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
