- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, VA Medical Center Tuscaloosa AL intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Door Control Services Inc., 321 VZ County Road, Ben Wheeler TX, to furnish material and installation of a Top Door Alarm System on the doors of Bldg. 137. This door alarm system has photoelectric sensor beam technology. The NAICS code is 238990. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may identify their experience in providing this equipment to the Contracting Officer via fax 478-274-5866. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
