Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction of a Weapons Maintenance Facility (776 SM) at Patrick AFB, Florida. Construction includes space for weapons and parts storage, classroom training and offices, and related administration and storage areas. Construction will be compatible with Base Standards and in accordance with applicable building codes. This completed project shall be able to receive a United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating of Silver. Contract duration is estimated at 330 Days. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 11/04/2010 by 12:00 Noon, Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the companys small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience past experience should describe completed and new construction projects that are similar or larger in size and scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work, how that was accomplished and the performance rating for the work. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include: weapons or vehicle maintenance shops, administrative buildings or schools. Renovation or Alternation projects will not be considered similar. Projects similar in size will include: new construction projects with a total of 8,000 SF. Projects of similar dollar value will include: new construction projects with an original contract amount in excess of $3M. (4) A statement that 20% of the work will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Please only include a narrative of the requested information; additional information will not be reviewed. NOTE: If qualified/certified Small Businesses do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to a full and open competition.
