Description
Contractor shall possess skill in museum quality packing and crating techniques described as providing an extensive experience in the specialized handling, protective packing and careful moving of irreplaceable museum collections. Contractor's storage unit will contain climate control, an anti-theft locking system and its own security alarm; provide fire suppression system in storage units as well as circulation area of facility with a monitored security system. The Contractor shall be responsible for all equipment, labor, materials and supplies needed for the packing, moving, transporting and storage of artifacts found in the Petersen House at the Ford's Theatre National Historic Site in Washington, D.C. The estimated magnitude is between $30,000 to $50,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 493190 with a small business size of $25.5 million of annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. This procurement is open to all size businesses.The solicitation and statement of work for this procurement will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about 10/15/2010. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation.
