SynopsisFD2030-11-80273 1.Estimated solicitation issue date 1 November 10 and estimatedclosing/response date 1 December 10. 2.RFP # SPRTA1-11-R-0040. 3.PR# FD2030-11-80273 4.Nomenclature/Noun: Aircraft Metallic Seal 5.NSN: 2840-01-199-0377 PR 6.PN: 1359M39G01. 7.Application (Engine )F110 8.AMC: 1/C 9.History: Previously purchased spares 1,159 each from Enginetics Corporation,per contract # SPRTA1-10-D-0067-0002, 16 August 2010. 10.Description: A segmented honeycomb assembly that has a metal backing. The backingbranches out of provided anchoring points to attach the seal to theengine and attaching point for the honeycomb material. 11.Dimensions: 1.5 inches wide X 0.7 inches high. 12.Material: Hastelloy X 13.Quantity: a.Award of a Firm Fix Price contract is anticipated with a rangequantity of 1,385 each-minimum and 8,310 each-maximum. 14.Competitive 15.Mandatory Language: Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Only writtenor faxed request received directly from the requestors are acceptable.Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Justification: supplies (orServices) required are available from only or a limited number ofresponsible sources(s) and no other type of supplies or services willsatisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is forsupplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit andnegotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under theauthority of FAR 6.302. The solicitation will identify the office whereadditional information can be obtained concerning qualificationsrequirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Note: AnOmbudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potentialOfferors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. Thepurpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the programdirector or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns,issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate governmentpersonnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strictconfidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does notparticipate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selectionprocess.
