Description
DESIGN/BUILD AERIAL DELIVERY ADDITION, KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, BERNALILLO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a competitive HubZone set aside. Only offers from qualified HubZone business concerns (as determined by the Small Business Association) will be accepted. Offers received from concerns that are not certified by the SBA shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. This acquisition is a Best Value Request for Proposal (RFP). NAICS code is 236990/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding a tour of the site. The Solicitation will be issued on or about November 3, 2010 with proposals due on or about December 9, 2010. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. WORK CONSISTS of the design and construction of three additions to the existing building 994 located on Kirtland Air Force Base to include a new parachute drying tower, additional office space and additional warehouse space. Project includes site work and will be LEED Silver. This project will be advertised as a Hub-Zone set-aside Best Value Request for Proposal (RFP). Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best overall value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a firm fixed price contract. This solicitation will be issued via internet only; notification of Amendments shall be made via internet only as well.
