Description

SPECIAL NOTICE SYNOPSIS: This Special Notice was originally listed under number N63394-10-T-5058 which was canceled and re-issued under N63394-11-T-5059. The Naval surface Warfare Center Corona Division, Development and Operations Division Code (PA10) has a requirement for a satellite hub and modem that is compliant with the FCC Part 25.222, Paragraph (a)(1) provides appropriate spread spectrum technology to meet the 4.5 Mbps data rate requirement with spread spectrum technology to support a SATCOM project using a small 24 � KU-band antenna to transfer data at a rate of up to 4.5 Mbps. The equipment must be a highly reliable, available, mobile, and temporary shipboard communication system which is able to communicate and coordinate operations and manipulate/transfer Aegis Weapons System (AWS) data to shore based teams during the Navy/FMS Test and Evaluation Events. The satellite modem and hub must have a spread spectrum that allows the signal to stay within the power spectral density, as restricted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The Government intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed priced contract to iDirect Government Technologies, Inc. This requirement will be awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.SC. 2304(c)(1). The associated NAICS Classification is 334220 and the size standard in number of employees is 750. No solicitation will be issued but responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation.
