- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistic Center (SFLC), intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for DOCKSIDE and repairs to the USCGC DAUNTLESS (WMEC-624). The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The acquisition will be solicited Small Business Set-Aside. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ) on or about December 2, 2010. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) web page at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. Send all request via e-mail to Arlene.V.Woodley@uscg.mil. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPS also contains an option automatic notification service. The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and the NAICS code is 336611. The homeport of the vessel is 1 Ferry Rd, Galveston, TX. All work will be performed at the vessel's homepier. The performance period will be 53 calendar days with a start date on or about April 11, 2011. The scope of the acquisition is as follows: 1. Tanks (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect 2. Tanks (Potable Water), Preserve "Partial" 3. Potable Water Tank, Repair 4. Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Clean 5. Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust Piping, Clean 6. Boiler Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Clean 7. Vent Ducts (Engine Room), Commercial Cleaning 8. Vent Ducts (Galley and Pantry Room All), Commercial Cleaning 9. Vent Ducts (Laundry Exhaust), Commercial Cleaning 10. Vent Ducts (All Other), Commercial Cleaning 11. Ventilation Fan (Vaneaxial), Overhaul 12. Helo Talon Grids, Inspect and Test 13. EDG Tank (Fuel), Preserve "100%" 14. Piping Insulation, Renew (AFC-30 Funded) 15. Piping Inuslation, Renew (AFC-45 Funded) 16. Deck Fittings, Inspect and Load Test 17. Magnetic Compass Foundation, Inspect and Renew 18. 02 Deck Plate, Renew 19. Condensate Piping, Renew 20. Anchor Windlass, Level 2 Inspect and Repair 21. Warping Capstan, Level 2 Inspect and Repair Trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
