- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville is conducting a new market survey to determine the availability of businesses capable of furnishing and installing Ion Exchange Industrial Waste Water Treatment (IWWT) systems that selectively discharge directly into an existing sanitary sewer system or to designated production processes for non-potable water re-use. The contract resulting from this requirement will be for multiple Ion Exchange IWWT systems at the Fleet Readiness Center, Southeast (FRCSE) located at the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. This market research was performed earlier but some specifications have changed, therefore if you responded to the earlier sources sought, please respond again to this one. The cylinders for ION exchange shall be provided under a separate contract and will NOT be owned by the FRCSE. The IWWT systems shall be designed to accommodate the connections of the cylinders. The contractor shall Identify purchase options for this turn-key system, also offer a Maintenance Service Contract to support the Ion Exchange IWWT systems for possibly 2 to 4 years beyond the warranty period. Please see the attachment for applicable specifications to this requirement. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement outlining their ability to meet or exceed this potential requirement no later than 2:00pm (Eastern Standard Time), Thursday, 11 November 2010, stating their business size, as well as a point of contact. The government will use the results of this announcement to determine whether the acquisition of the above described requirement should be solicited as a small business set-aside, or whether full and open competition procedure should be utilized. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information.
