Description
Limited Sources Justification RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This order is funded in total through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This is an award notice. This is a new firm fixed price task order issued against base Federal Supply Schedule contract GS-35F-0615S under Special Item Number (SIN) 132-62, Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 Product and Service Components, as this includes the exact scope of work required for the project. The contractor is XTEC, Incorporated, 5775 Blue Lagoon Dr, Ste 280, Miami, FL 33126. The Product Service Code is 5962. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 334413 and the size standard is 500 employees. Work will be performed at the John F. Kennedy and Thomas P. O'Neill Federal Buildings in Boson, Massachusetts. The contractor will upgrade the existing security systems at the John F. Kennedy and Thomas P. O'Neill Federal Buildings in Boston, Massachusetts by designing, delivering and installing the following: upgrade of the backbone infrastructure for the existing GSA Region 1 Authentx Physical Access Control System (PACS) operating at both facilities to meet the infrastructure requirements of the GSA OCIO. The existing inbound/outbound garage, half circle steel reader mounts at both facilities will be replaced. Upgrade to the next generation of Authentx Xnodes components will be accomplished for increased programming upgrade capabilities to each end reader device located at both facilities. GSA controlled doors will be installed in the O'Neill Federal Building with FIPS-201 compliant FAS APL Authentx 10000 reader(s) to include revised programming on the Authentx PACS Global Network. The contractor will maintain the PACS hardware and software for a period of two years following the acceptance of the system upgrade by GSA. The contactor will have a Regional Office City service response team to respond to security system issues to meet the maintenance and emergency response requirements. This maintenance will include (1) preventive maintenance actions that, at a minimum, include those specified and/or recommended by the equipment manufacturers, (2) the installation of manufacturer recommended field hardware changes, (3) the installation of PACS application software patches, updates and new revisions, (4) the installation of GSA-mandated security software updates (if necessary), and (5) the repair/replacement of failed equipment components. This procurement was awarded restricting competition of schedule contractors to fewer than required in FAR part 8.405-2 as it was issued as a logical follow-on.
