- This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.3, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Proposals are being requested. The solicitation number is CT2042-11. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-46. The North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 313221 (narrow fabric mills) and small business size standard is 500. This acquisition is unrestricted. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for delivery to the UNICOR facility located at FCI Yazoo City, MS. The period of performance shall be two (2) years with two (2) one-year options, if exercised, from date of award. The product is a commercial item, hook & loop (velcro) for use in manufacturing outer tactical vest (OTV) & (IOTV) body armor products. The finished goods are for sale to the DLA Troop Support Center Philadelphia. A complete description of the items is in Section B Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs.
