- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This acquisition will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. A formal request for quote will not be issued as all items are identified in this synopsis. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase one (1) 144 port IntellaPatch Switch Chassis (Part # ACI-3144-C01), two (2) 36 Port Gigabit Fiber Ethernet Blades (Part # ACI-3010-E36-4S), two (2) 36 Port Ethernet Multi-rate Blades (Part # ACI-3010-E36-2), and a One-Year Standard Support Agreement (Part # ACI-HSSA-001). These items will be procured on a sole source basis from Apcon, Inc. 9255 SW Pioneer Ct, Wilsonville, OR 97070-9634 in accordance with the Statutory Authority Permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. DFAR 252.211-7003 (Item Identification and Valuation) is applicable to this purchase. DFAR 252.232-7003 (Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports) is applicable to this purchase. The order shall be firm fixed price. Pricing shall be FOB Destination to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia. Therefore, the quote must include all applicable shipping and handling charges. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334119, 1000 employee size standard. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. The closing date is November 24, 2010 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
