Description
The Department of the Navy (DON) intends to host an Industry Day for the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Program. The purpose of this Industry Day will be to present an overview of the plans for future acquisitions of Cooperative Engagement Capability services and products. Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) is a sensor networking system installed on U.S. Navy Surface Ships and Aircraft and is destined for U.S Marine Corps units as well as Joint and Coalition platforms. CEC builds a high fidelity situational awareness picture in conjunction with the platform host combat systems and networks fire control quality track data between participating units. Currently CEC has unique variants for each of the platform types (surface ship, navy aircraft, Marine Corps, and other units). Each installation has processors, transceivers, power converters and antennas. Over the past 20 years, these individual sub-systems have evolved with the state of the art technology and will continue to do so as the Navy, Joint Forces and Coalition Forces missions and needs evolve. DON anticipates awarding 6 contracts through competitive processes for the following: 1) Cooperative Engagement Capability (AN/USG-X Series) Production which will be a build to print production activity; 2) Design Agent / Engineering Services support for the design and modernization of the Cooperative Engagement Capability (AN/USG-X Series) systems; 3) Signal Data Processor “ Sierra production “ This contract with be a 100% Small Business Set Aside; 4) Common Antenna for Surface Ship and Terrestrial Applications design and development; 5) Common Antenna for Aircraft Application design and development; and 6) a Basic Ordering Agreement for repair support. The CEC Industry Day will be held on December 13, 2010 at Crystal Gateway Marriott located at 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia 22202. Check-in will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Briefings will begin promptly at 9 a.m. The following information is provided: a) the Industry Day is open to all contractors who have registered for the event and received a registration confirmation. Due to security requirements, companies must be able to demonstrate that it is a United States company holding a current Top Secret facility clearance for CEC Design Agent/Engineering Services and a Secret facility clearance for the others. All interested parties must register with Ms. Shannon Britt, 202-781-0499, shannon.britt@navy.mil. Registration will be open from 12 p.m. November 29, 2010 through 8 a.m. December 8, 2010 or until the number of registrants reaches 400 people; b) Each contractor will be limited to 3 registrants per company on a first come basis; c) If 400 people have not registered by 8 a.m. December 8, 2010, registration for the event will remain open. At that time, registration will be extended to those contractors wishing to register additional attendees not to exceed 10 total people per company; d) Registration will be verified prior to entrance. Due to seating capacity restrictions each contractor will be limited to the total number of their confirmed registrations; e) Walk-ins will be allowed to register if seats are available, on a first-come basis starting at 8:45 a.m. on the day of the event; f) DON will be collecting point of contact information from any contractor wishing to be added to the Contractor POC list. All interested contractors will be given the opportunity at registration to provide a POC name and contact information for their company. This list of POCs will be compiled and will be provided back to all Industry Day Contractor POCs; g) Industry Day will include answers to previously submitted questions. Only written questions provided in advance to Ms. Shannon Britt, 202-781-0499, shannon.britt@navy.mil by 8 a.m. 08 December 2010 will be considered for answer. Written questions may be deposited in a box the day of the event and will be considered for answers after the event. Answers will be provided to all Industry Day Contractor POCs who provided email addresses at registration. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement nor will the Government return any data provided.
