Description
Award notice from last quarter's solicitation RFQP0117100004. Letter to offerer. Quarterly dairy and milk solicitation for USP Lee. Enclosed is a solicitation package for quarterly dairy prepared by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary - Lee, Virginia, Contracting Office, for the acquisition of subsistence food items for our facility. This package contains all the necessary information for submitting a request for quote for evaluation. In submitting the request for quote, vendors should consider all information provided herein. Please carefully follow all instructions located in the solicitation package concerning the content, format and submission of your quote. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information about this solicitation. All potential offerors are advised that this solicitation includes the clause FAR 52.212-4 (Oct 2003) for Commercial Items, Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This clause requires all contractors doing business with the Federal Government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the CCR database. Offerors should include their Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number in their offers. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the CCR database prior to award by entering the potential awardee=s DUNS number into the CCR database. As of January 1, 2005, all potential offerors are required to complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the On-line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), which should be completed at http://orca.bpn.gov. This information is included in this solicitation in the provision FAR 52.212-1 (Jan 2005) Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items. Once you have completed the ORCA requirement, you are no longer required to submit 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications with your quote. Failure to complete either of these registration procedures outlined in this solicitation, may result in elimination from consideration for award. The Government intends to make multiple fixed price awards to the offerors (bidders) offering the lowest price and who conform to all requirements of the solicitation. Individual credit card orders will be issued for all items under $3000 in aggregate. Purchase orders will be issued for orders totaling $3000 ore more in aggregate. The Government reserves the right to award by line item or in aggregate. Items delivered will be accepted in accordance with FAR 52.211-16 Variation in Quantity at 10%. Excess items over the exact quantity ordered will be returned at the contractor=s expense or retained without compensation of the contractor. Failure to deliver by the specified date (January 14, 2011) may cause the order to be awarded to another vendor. Each offeror/bidder shall carefully read and review each line item offered for bid, paying close attention to the size of the container, description and number of units of issue, etc., requested prior to offering your price. If you need to offer a substitute, please indicate the changes for the item you are bidding on. Offers shall be received on or before the deadline of December 10, 2010, 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, via mail or email. No faxed offers will be accepted.
