- Description
- Amendment number 0004 will be posted to the ASFI website on 12 November 2010. This amendment is necessary due to a significant shortfall in funding currently available for the 'seed' project (Kings Bay Entrance Channel); therefore, the scope of work for this project has been significant reduced by this amendment. In accordance with FAR 15.206(c), all offerors who submitted a proposal on 29 October 2010 are hereby informed that a revised pricing proposal is required in accordance with this amendment; however, offerors shall NOT re-submit their technical proposals. The only documents required for submission in response to this amendment are: (1) Signed copy of the SF 30, Amendment 0004; (2) Page number SF1442-A1, Addendum to the Standard Form 1442; (3) Section 00010A, Line Items and Pricing Schedule; (4) Letter stating whether or not the offeror has equipment available for the Kings Bay Entrance Channel project; and (5) A revised Subcontracting Plan based on the revised prices submitted. Responses will be due on 22 November 2010 at 4:00 p.m. NOTE: All offerors MUST submit a revised pricing proposal as indicated in the preceding paragraph whether or not they have equipment available. REVISED DESCRIPTION OF WORK FOR INITIAL 'SEED' TASK ORDER PROJECT: Maintenance Dredging, 46-Foot Project, Entrance Channel (Cut-1N), Kings Bay, Georgia and Fernandina Harbor, Nassau County, Florida. Project work consists of maintenance dredging in Cut-1N of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel from Station 100+00 to Station 350+00. Dredging depth in the authorized channel will be required to a depth of 49 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Beach compatible material excavated from the channel between Station 100+00 and Station 200+50 and the northern half of the channel (Range 1000 to 1200) from Station 200+50 to Station 230+00 will be placed in the North Beach Disposal Area (D/A-NB) located approximately 3.5 miles from the dredging areas. If excessive erosion occurs along the Fort Clinch shoreline prior to the start of dredging, a portion of the beach-quality material will be placed in the Fort Clinch Disposal Area (D/A-F) to restore protection of the fort structure. Non-beach compatible material excavated from the channel between Station 230+00 and Station 350+00 will be transported and placed in the Fernandina Ocean Disposal Area (D/A-O) located 14 miles southeast of the dredging areas. Incidental work includes endangered species monitoring, sea turtle non-capture trawl sweeping, turbidity monitoring, beach tilling, and vibration monitoring. Only coast guard certified hopper dredges will be allowed to work on this project. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
