- The solicitation number posted should read: HSCG40-11-Q-P30229 as indicated on the RFQ. The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Drydock Repairs of the Coast Guard ANT GALVESTON (ANB 55103), a 55 Foot Aid Navigation Boat. The acquisition will be set-aside for Small Businesses. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Subpart 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about 9 November 2010. This Requirement will be evaluated using past performance as an evaluation factor. The NAICS is 336611. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period will be Ninety (90) calendar days with a start date on or about 11 January 2011. Geographic Restriction Applies: The vessel is restricted to an area no greater than 200 nautical miles one way from the ANB's home station, on navigable waterways and no more than 20 nautical miles off shore. Home Station: Coast Guard ANT GALVESTON, 3000 Fort Point Road, Galveston, TX 77550. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) web page at https://fbo.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPS contains an option for automatic notification service.
