Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Cubic Defense Applications, Inc. 9333 Balboa Ave. San Deigo, CA 92123-1515, for the Emergency Locator Transmitter AN/ARX 3000(V) PN: 260760-1. The proposed action is for a commodity purchase for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this commodity or equal are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 30 Nov 2010. You may request a copy via e-mail to heather.m.linzy@us.army.mil. The requirement will be released as commercial under FAR Part 12. See Note 22 and 26.
