Description

The United States Army Contracting Command, CECOM Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD 21005-1846 intends to award a modification to Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract Number W15P7T-06-D-T001 to extend the contracts ordering period from 23 December 2010 to 23 November 2011, to enable issuance of additional Delivery Orders/Task Orders for spare parts for AN/TPQ-36(V), AN/TPQ-37(V), and AN/TPQ-46 FIREFINDER Radar Systems, and associated repair, engineering, and field technical support services. Army and Navy Working Capital Funds, Operations and Maintenance, Army, and Other Procurement, Army appropriations and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) funds will be utilized for this effort. The award will be sole source to Thales-Raytheon Systems (TRS), 1801 Hughes Drive, Fullerton, CA 92833, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source, FAR 6.302-1. TRS is the only source with the detailed knowledge and ability to produce the required spare parts, and provide the associated repair, engineering and field technical support services for the FIREFINDER Radar Systems. Without the required spare parts and support services, the FIREFINDER Radar Systems will become inoperable, and this would result in significant risks of serious injury or loss of life to Warfighters. The Solicitation number W15P7T-11-R-R610 has been assigned for this action. As the United States Government is not soliciting a proposal from TRS and is merely extending the contract term, a formal solicitation is not available.
