- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test. Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 Renewal for Analysis Pack Software ABAQUS 10 Analysis tokens, 1 each. CLIN 0002 Renewal for 20 ABAQUS/Standard Software, 1 each. CLIN 0003 Renewal for 3 ABAQUS CAE Software, 1 each. CLIN 0004 Renewal for 1 PRO/Engineer Associative Interface, 1 each. CLIN 0005 Renewal for 1 Solid Works associative interface, 1 each. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order to Dassault Systemes Simulia Corporation, 300 Centerville Road, Suite 209W, Warwick Rhode Island 02886-0201. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer/distributor of the product. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511210 and the Business Size Standard is 25.0 Million. All responses received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, November 29, 2010. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
