- This acquisition is being issued in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511210 with size standard of $25M. The reference number for this Request for Quote (RFQ) is N00189-10-Q-3781. A firm fixed price purchase order will be issued. The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Contracting Office, Philadelphia Office has a requirement for the continuation of BMC Remedy software maintenance renewal, brand name BMC Software, Inc. for ten (10) months at the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Dahlgren, VA. Delivery is required FOB Destination. PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT FOR PRODUCT LIST. BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION: BMC Remedy is a proprietary product of BMC Software, Inc. which is critical to JWAC ™s IT infrastructure. Only BMC Software, Inc. brand software is acceptable for this requirement as it is already integrated into JWAC ™S architecture. The required support is only available from BMC Software, Inc. Period of Performance for all items is 01 January 2011 through 31 October 2011. Quote should contain Open Market Commercial pricing with any applicable discounts applied. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote is conforming to the solicitation provides the most advantageous price to the Government. The contractor must be an authorized reseller of BMC Software, Inc. products. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, with no obligation to the vendor by the Government. The provision FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Contractors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Contractor will include a completed copy of the provision FAR 53.212-3, Contractors Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its quote. Clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; FAR 52.232.33, Payment By Electronic Funds Transfer; Central Contractor Registration, DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration; apply to this solicitation. Vendors must be approved and registered in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) before award can be made. All offers are due to this agency no later than 03 December 2010; by 4:00PM EST.
