DESCRIPTION: This acquisition includes the purchase of a code and part number item where Zodiac of North America Inc (60042) is the approved manufacturer and/or has supplied the item in the past. The intent is to award an indefinite quantity type contract for a one year base and four option years. Solicitation and NSN will be available for download on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on the issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. NSN(s): 2910-01-365-2694 Item Description: Tank, Fuel, Engine Manufacturer's Code and Part Number: (60042) 59318 or N59318 Quantity: Estimated Annual Demand Quantity (ADQ) = 179 Unit of Issue: EA Destination Information: Various stock locations, CONUS Delivery Schedule: 90 Days Based on market research this item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for this item. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice. Items will be shipped to various destinations within CONUS. FOB destination and inspection at destination is required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 12/06/10. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. There are no technical drawings/bid sets available. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, socioeconomic, and Ability One (formerly JWOD). One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the US by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years.
