- Defense Logistics Agency, Energy requirement for Gaseous Nitrogen (GN2) which was synopsized (posted to FedBizOpps) as SP0600-10-R-0337 on 22 Oct 2010 is being solicited as SP0600-11-R-0304. The requirement has not changed. The sulicitation number was updated to reflect fiscal year 2011. The details from synopsis SP0600-10-R-0337 are REPEATED below, with an updated issue date, for the convenience of interested parties (so they won't have to go back out and search SP0600-10-R-0337). Solicitation SP0600-11-R-0304 has also been posted at SP0600-10-R-0337, once again for convenience of interested parties.. Defense Logistics Agency - Energy, intends to award this requirement sole source to Praxair, Inc., 39 Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury, CT 06810 for delivery of Gaseous Nitrogen (GN2) Type 1, Grade A, Specification MIL-PRF-27401F dated January 10, 2008, NSN 9135-00-823-8115, delivered via pipeline FOB Destination at Canoga Park, CA. This will be a one year firm fixed price requirements type contract with two option years, issued under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger Cohen Act of 1996. The period of performance for the base year, first option year and second option year are from April 1, 2011 thru March 31, 2012 and April 1, 2012 thru March 31, 2013 and April 1, 2013 thru March 31, 2014 respectively. The estimated quantity for the base year, first option year and second option year are 7,772.0 MC and 7,772.0 MC and 7,772.0 MC respectively. The base and both options will be evaluated prior to award. The solicitation and resulting contract will include clause INT-I209-09 EXTENSION PROVISIONS (DLA ENERGY JUL 2009). This clause is a type of option that allows the Government to extend the contract period of performance for up to six (6) months with the same terms and conditions on a unilateral basis. The 6 month option extension will also be evalusted prior to contract award. Subject solicitation will be issued on or about 3 DEC 2010 and posted on the FedBizOpps website at: www.fbo.gov. If you do not have internet access, a hard copy of the solicitation may be requested. Only written or emailed requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable.. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination to award Sole SOurce at the discretion of the Government.
