- Pre-proposal Conference and Site Visit, December 16 - 18, 2010. December 16 - 17, 2010: Arriving to Fort Sam Houston: Enter Fort Sam Houston at the Walters Gate to register at the Visitors Center for Base pass and security check. Due to the high number of vehicles entering the Walters Gate in the morning, please ensure adequate time to process through the Visitors Center (an average of 15 - 30 minute wait time). *Pre-Proposal Conference Location: 32nd Medical Brigade Headquarters* Conference Room, 2355 Harney Road, Building 902, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234. *Due to limited parking at the 32nd Medical Brigade Headquarters, registered participants shall park in the designated parking lot only, as described below. Parking: Designated Parking Lot @ Intersection of Stanley and Harney Road, (West of Stanley Road and East of Harney Road) Across from Army Community Service, Bldg 2797, Stanley Road December 16, 2010: Pre-Proposal Conference: The Government will transport registered participants via bus from the Parking Lot to conference location from 8:30 am - 8:45 am. The Pre-Proposal Conference agenda is as follows: 8:30 am - 9:00 am Registered Participants Check-In* 9:00 am - 9:15 amConference Start; Administrative Announcements 9:15 am - 9:30 amIntroduction of Government Team 9:30 am - 9:45 amMEDCOM Small Business Office 9:45 am - 10:00 amBreak 10:00 am - 10:45 amSolicitation Discussion (Key Areas) 10:45 am - 11:00 amBreak 11:00 am - 11:45 am Solicitation Discussion (Key Areas) *Only registered participants will be permitted to attend due to conference room size constraints. Non-registered vendors will be on a stand-by basis and permitted to attend at the discretion of the Government. Upon conclusion of the pre-proposal conference, the Government will transport registered participants from the 32nd Med Bde, Bldg 902, to the Parking Lot. Site Visit: The Government will transport registered site visit participants* from the Parking Lot to site visit locations from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (est.) and additional locations on Fort Sam Houston (as time allows) until 5:00 pm.** *Only registered site visit participants will be permitted to attend site visits. Non-registered vendors will be on a stand-by basis and permitted to attend at the discretion of the Government. **The site visits involves extensive walking through multiple buildings, and participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes to be safe and comfortable. Please indicate any special needs to Kathleen Henderson when requesting registration to ensure proper accommodations may be arranged. The following locations will be visited on 16 Dec 10 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Building 3009, CBPCC, Schertz, TX (Outside View Only) Building 5026, Camp Bullis Burk Primary Care Clinic, Building 2401, Outpatient Refill Pharmacy Building 2630, Regional Veterinary Laboratory/CHPPS-S Building 2635, Veterinary Laboratory (Shared with 91C School) Building 2841, Linen Services Only Upon conclusion of the site visits, the Government will return registered site visit participants to the Parking Lot. December 17, 2010: Site Visit: Registered site visit participants shall meet at the Parking Lot at 7:45 am. The Government will transport registered site visit participants from the Parking Lot to site visit locations on Fort Sam Houston (outside the SAMMC-N Complex) from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and then 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The Government will return the site visit participants to the Parking Lot for lunch from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Registered site visit participants will meet at the SAMMC-N Complex, Bldg 3600, Flag Pole at 8:00 am on Saturday, December 18, 2010. In the case of inclement weather, further directions will be provided to the site participants as they arrive to the SAMMC-N Complex, Bldg 3600, Flag Pole Area. The Site Visit involves extensive walking through multiple buildings, and participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes to be safe and comfortable. Please indicate any special needs to Kathleen Henderson when requesting registration to ensure proper accommodations may be arranged. Arriving to SAMMC-N: Enter SAMMC-N at the Binz-Englemann Road Gate. This gate is open 24 hours and persons entering will only have access to SAMMC. All occupants of vehicles are required to present current photo identification with an expiration date. (Example: Military Identification Card, State Driver's License, etc.) Due to the weekend, it is not anticipated that a high number of vehicles will be entering the Binz-Englemann Road Gate in the morning; however, please ensure adequate time to process through the Gate. Visitors may be asked to show motor vehicle registration and proof of insurance. All vehicles entering the installation are subject to search while on the installation. After entering the Binz-Englemann Road Gate, follow the signs for the SAMMC/BAMC Military Treatment Facility, Bldg 3600. The Flag Pole is in front of Bldg 3600 at the circular drive-way. Site Visit: The Government will escort registered site visit participants from the Flag Pole to site visit locations on the SAMMC-N Complex from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and then 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The SAMMC-N Dining Facility is open to all participants for lunch (12:00 pm - 1:00 pm). The participants shall meet at the Flag Pole, Bldg 3600, at 1:00 pm to continue the site visit.
