Description

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Ericsson Federal, Inc. for the purchase of lawful intercept hardware and software to upgrade and maintain the existing Ericsson system. The proposed purchase order is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Ericsson Federal, Inc. under the test program described in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 13.5 and under authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Ericsson is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and holds sole proprietary rights to its hardware and software products. As a result, Ericsson Federal, Inc. is the only responsible source and capable of providing the required supplies/services. The Government anticipates the award on a firm-fixed price purchase order. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available. Closing date is December 13, 2010.
