- Description
- The FHWA-EFLHD will procure an 8(a) sole source contract for the George Washington Memorial Parkway PRA-GWMP 1A107, Solicitation Number DTFH71-11-R-00004, located in Arlington County, Virginia. The project consists of the restoration and stabilization of the slide area on the northbound George Washington Memorial Parkway, south of the Donaldson Run Scenic Overlook. The work includes the construction of a gabion basket retaining wall with geogrid reinforcement, as well as drainage improvements, re-vegetation, and other miscellaneous work. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $250,000 to $500,000. The 8(a) contractor selected is: Firvida Construction Corporation, 8550 Lee Highway, Suite 720, Fairfax, VA 22031, Robert Firvida, (703) 641-9875, rfirvida@firvida.com Bid documents should be issued on or about January 3, 2011. Bid due date and location will be specified on the SF 1442, Block 13a of the Solicitation. All bid documents can be directly downloaded from these websites. Documents will no longer be mailed. If firms do not register as an interested vendor at the Federal Business Opportunities website, there will be no Plan Holders List. Annual Representations and Certifications FAR 52.204-8 (Feb 2009). The Representations and Certifications must be filled-in online at http://orca.bpn.gov/. The required Annual Form Vets-100 must also be filled-in online at http://vets100.com per FAR 52.222-37. ATTENTION Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT) offers working capital financing assistance for transportation related contracts. The DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate.
