- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for the purpose of conducting market research and obtaining industry information ONLY. Proposals are NOT being requested, nor accepted at this time. The National Park Service (NPS) will use information obtained through this synopsis to develop an acquisition strategy. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and associated small business size standard will be one of the following:-- NAICS = 236210; $33.5M average annual revenue for the previous three years. -- NAICS = 236220; $33.5M average annual revenue for the previous three years. -- NAICS = 238110; $14M average annual revenue for the previous three years. The NPS anticipates issuing a request for proposals in the winter of 2011. The project site is located in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The estimated price range is between $500,000 & $1,000,000. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required Following is a brief description of the work: The Gardiner warehouse is a contributing structure in the Gardiner Transportation Historic District. The building is two stories with a basement; the dimensions are 96 X 160- feet by 21-feet high. The building is a cast-in place concrete building and is experiencing severe concrete spalling and iron window deterioration on the exterior. Concrete reinforcing bars are exposed and damage has and is occurring to the historic fabric. This project will remove the damaged concrete and repair it with new concrete this is to match the surrounding historic concrete. It will also rehabilitate the windows. All the work will occur while the building is occupied. Additionally, it is anticipated that the roof will be repaired at the same time as this work under a separate contract. Coordination between the two contracts will be required. Again, at this time the NPS is not accepting proposals but is requesting that interested businesses furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and email address. (2) Business type: 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Woman Owned Business, large or small business, etc., (3) Information regarding similar projects completed within the past 5 years; minimum information must include the following: Final contract price, project location, date of substantial completion, a brief description of the project with special emphasis on concrete and window restoration work. Do not send photos at this time. All responses must be submitted via e-mail to john_chaney@nps.gov by no later than close of business January 4, 2011.
