Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential, qualified Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business, Veteran Owned Businesses, Small Businesses, 8(a), Hub-Zone and other Small Businesses interested and are capable of performing the work. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) Type of Small Business, e.g. Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned small business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Woman-Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUB-Zone business and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a Contractor for the work described below. DESCRIPTION: Remove and Replace Two Five Ton AC Units, at Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTHVCS), 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple TX 76504. The CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE PARTS LABOR AND TOOLS TO REMOVE AND REPLACE TWO 5 TON AIR CONDITIONING UNITS AT Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, (CTVHCS), 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple TX 76504, Building 46. The Contractor Shall: Provide labor and material to demolish and install two new AC units. All work performed during CTVHCS normal working hours 8:00-4:30 pm CST. Install two Payne 5-ton 15 SEER R410A units with electric heat. Demolish and replace all affected duct and registers. Project includes new plenums. Build platforms as necessary for unit mounting in equipment room. Project includes new thermostats and control wiring as needed. Start up and test system. Project includes air balance of duct work. Equipment Two 5-ton 15 SEER HVAC systems to include electric furnace with 15 KW heat strips, condenser, thermostat, refrigerant line set, condenser pad, and disconnect. Duct Material to accommodate replacement of approximately 16 supply air grilles/registers, RA grilles, plenums, equipment platforms. Total linear feet of duct is approximately 650 ft. Air balance approximately 16 SA grilles, 4 RA grilles. Labor for completion of project includes all equipment and duct demo; installation of HVAC equipment to include all duct, refrigerant and drain piping, controls, platform fabrication, start up and testing of equipment. The Government is not obligated to nor will pay for or reimburse any cost associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238220 ($14.0 Million). Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database located on the web at www.ccr.gov and it is desirable that all offerors complete their Representations and Certifications via (Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project shall be registered with the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registration, located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.All interested Offerors shall submit information by e-mail to anthony.nourse@va.gov and shall be received no later than 3:00p.m. Central Standard Time on January 14, 2011.
