SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A SURVEY OF THE MARKET TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS THAT CAN SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT: RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ARE DUE NO LATER 19 JANUARY 2011 @ 4:00PM (EST) The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bruce W. Carter, VA Medical Center, Miami. FL, is seeking vendors interested in competing for a acquisition set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB). The estimated value of this procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Class System Code is 236220. The small business size standard is $33.5M. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov under the solicitation number VA-248-11-RP-0105. This project is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to replace windows in building Number 1, Phase VI at the Miami VA Medical Facility located at 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL. 33125. The Performance of Performance will be 365 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued as a total SDVOSB set aside. To be considered as a SDVOSB for this acquisition your firm must meet the requirements in accordance with FAR 19.1403. If your firm meets the requirements in accordance with FAR 19.1403 and your firm is interested in submitting an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail (ONLY) to kenneth.williams546@va.gov with "Sources Sought for Solicitation Number VA-248-11-RP-0105" in the subject line. Please reference the above solicitation number in all correspondence pertaining to this project. Your response should include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) a statement identifying your certified SDVOSB designation. Contractors are reminded all windows furnished/installed on this project shall be in compliance with the 150 mile per hour wind criteria established by industry standards and all other applicable building codes, The Miami/Dade Building Codes and the Joint Commission.
