Description
This notice is to invite industry to participate in a Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 5A, Advanced Development Office for Undersea Systems, Industry Day to communicate capability development objectives for its research interests in advanced undersea technologies in the area of submarine signal processing in support of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems. The Naval Sea Systems Command issued Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) N0002410IWS5A01 on 8 June 2010 for contractors to propose their participation in advanced undersea technologies in the areas of processing, organic and distributed sensors. This industry day will be focused on submarine signal processing in support of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems, and will be held on Wednesday, 9 February 2011 at Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors in Manassas, VA from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m. The industry day will include briefs classified up to the SECRET level which requires each participant to submit a security clearance prior to the meeting. Due to limitations on space, only three (3) persons per company location will be allowed to participate. Parties interested in attending should request a registration package (which will include directions for submission of the security clearances) by e-mailing meghan.pituch@cgifederal.com with the subject ADVANCED UNDERSEA TECHNOLOGIES INDUSTRY DAY REGISTRATION REQUEST. Registration will be open through 4 February 2011. The tentative agenda for the industry day includes: Advanced Processing Build (APB) Process Overview, Discussion of Proposed Content, Relevant APB-13 Mission/Tactical Requirements, System Gaps/Seams Overview and Desired APB-13 Focus Areas. The following day, 10 February 2011, at the same location, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m. IWS 5 will present detailed findings from an August 2010 Gaps and Seams analysis of the APB-09 system against the relevant APB-13 Mission/tactical Requirements. All industry day attendees are invited to attend. Please note that since this event includes classified briefings, no notes may be taken. Copies of the briefs may be provided to attendees under a separate mailing. The information provided is for information only and is not a Request for Proposal or announcement of a solicitation.
