Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format found in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is F11PS00274 and the solicitation is issued as a request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-46) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business, the NAICS code is 811420 with a size standard of $7M B.1. BASE BID ITEMS:Base Bid Item One:Bimini top $____________________Base Bid Item Two : Winter Cabin Cover $ _____________________ SCOPE OF WORK:PURPOSE:STATEMENT OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONSThe Alaska Peninsula/Becharof Refuges Service boat, a 1979 63' Betram, is currently docked in Kodiak, AK (K-13). The resulting contract for this RFQ will be to manufacture and install a Bimini Top (dark blue in color) with stainless steel structure to hold the top in place, and a winter Cabin Cover. The approximate measurements for the upper bridge are eleven feet by eleven feet, and a height of 6 feet is requested for the overall canopy design. These are only approximations of dimensions for bidding purpose. The contractor is advised to complete their own set of measurements if awarded the contract. The canvas used should be made of Sunbrella, or equivalent product. The structure should be supported using stainless steel construction material. The new structure will be attached to the existing three foot rail, bringing the new height to six feet. The site windows should be made of Eisenglass, or equivalent product. There should be a Cruise Curtain toward the stern, with three zippered panels, also manufactured with similar materials. Snaps will need to be installed directly to the fiberglass bridge, with turnbuckle snaps at junctions and high pressure areas. The Winter Cabin Cover should be made of Sunbrella, or equivalent product. The cover should slope towards the stern using existing rails with little additional height. The cabin cover should use the snap locations already in place from the Bimini installation.
