Description

Interested parties are hereby invited to participate in an Industry Day session to be held on 14 January 2011 regarding an upcoming solicitation for the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, U.S. Navy, DDG 51 Project Office. The Industry Day session will be held at BAE Systems, 92 Commercial Street, Bath, Maine 04530. The Government will not compensate industry participants for travel, lodging, or any other expenses associated with this event. The purpose of this Industry Day is to brief interested parties on the topics which will be included in the forthcoming solicitation for US Navy crew berthing requirements. Topics on the tentative agenda will include an overview of the contract berthing requirements and applicable timeframes; contract structure and ordering methodology; evaluation criteria as a basis for award; and unique contract requirements for anti-terrorism and force protection efforts (see Attachment 1). This notice does not constitute an invitation for bids, a request for proposal, or a request for quote. This notice is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to enter into any acquisition for any products or services. The Government will not pay for any efforts expended or any material provided in response to this announcement. No solicitation document exists at this time.
